Apparently the rabbit population was a problem in 1913 in the Rowena Texas area.. must have been a major problem! IIRC, 11 or 12 jackrabbits will eat what a cow does in a day's time.

There are a few videos on You tube of folks herding up the rabbits back then. Most of them just used clubs.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.

we did one in the early 50's, North of Kalvesta, Ks. they were destroying the wheat crop
hold on Newt, we got a runaway
