I don't have any suggestions, but I do have a story.....When I worked in the construction business about 20+ years ago, we traveled quite a bit. I was a 20 something that didn't get out much since my college days in Stephenville. Our boss never traveled with us, for some reason he went on a trip with us to Charlotte. My partner and I were used to our $30 per diem and didn't typically spend much more than that on food. On this particular trip, we traveled and worked some that first day. We got to the hotel later that afternoon. Almost as soon as I walked into my room, the boss called and asked if I had a collared shirt. I told him I did not, his response was to put on my cleanest T-shirt and be down stairs in 15 minutes. Anyway, we went to Ruth Chris. When we walked in, the maitre de asked if he could check my cap for me. I said sure and went to hand it to him/. He looked at me and said, "or you can just hang on to it". It was country come to town that night.

My vote is Del Friscos for steaks and Trulucks for seafood but their steaks are on the same level as Del Friscos as well so our favorite place to go is Truluck’s. Their Tomahawk is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had,

Yep, I also think they have the best service.

Agree. In Ft Worth this is the place, hands down.

Over towards Southlake I highly suggest Kirby's. Maybe half a star under Del Frisco's, but better prices and damn near on par. It's become my go to steakhouse the last several years.

Really surprised at the Ruth Chris' responses. I think of them as the Chilli's or Applebee's of steak places.

Nick & Sam's
Pappa Bros
Eddie V's
Bob's

in that order for me.

I agree to the point that I have had a $250 gift card for probably two years. Maybe I'll use it some day. Maybe.

It was much better before Ruth sold it. Now the corporation that owns it has ruined it

Bob's in the Omni is good. DF is also good. Go the the DF grille around the corner first, sit on the porch, and have a drink with of view of sundance square.

The steak with the enchilada, and roof top bar at the Reata is great.

Sorry, the Ruth Chris thing was so surprising I failed to remember that Ft. Worth was the desired location, lol.

Local steak lover - for the best steak and experience, Del Frisco's downtown is hard to beat. Try the Adult Milkshake concoction if you are so inclined. If you are going to be outside of downtown, say the hospital or university area, try Ellerbe Street - a bit pricier, but my gosh, the food is outstanding. If the owner, Richard, is around, tell him Chip R sent you. Just be careful if you are a wine drinker, they are like the dude on the corner, the first glass is free, but the next is going to COST you...

I think Ellerbe’s is the best spot in Ft. Worth...been going since they opened.

The wine list is great....but not overpriced. You want good stuff, they have it...and not near the markup of the big steakhouses.
