Linking to a photo or image hosted elsewhere is done like this. Notice the img with brackets that go around the link.

So the window opens to select a photo. I select a photo and try to upload and then in that window the home page for the website appears.

I use DDG also and it didn't do that on my laptop. Did this just start happening and is it only on this one device?

Are you using your phone to try and upload the pic? Iphone or Android?

What is the pic size, I have had that problem before and had forgotten, I changed the camera setting in the phone for less resolution to avoid that several years ago. Might set it back to max and see how it works for me then. I post from an android or duckduckgo without issues but will try larger pic size later.

Well guess that is not the problem. Took a 16mp pic from the front porch and it uploaded fine

I never had problems before. Maybe it is a duck duck go problem
