Anybody done this? Take a backstrap or hip muscle, slice about a 1/8 inch thick, bread like catfish, fry till it floats, drain on paper towels? Have yet to have any make it to the table. Teen boys and 20's-30's will knock you down, but quickly help you get back into production mode. I mention deer chips and 12 packs start appearing!!

I’d definitely give it a try but couldn’t do that with blackstrap. Sounds interesting.

I’ve done it sliced super thin and seasoned with Italian bread crumbs and flash fry.
Different and tasty.

I've never heard of deer chips before. I do know about cow chips, and I don't think they'd be too tasty.

Camp house staple for us. We use crushed Ritz for the breading and eat with pickled jalapenos. Good Stuff!
