Both of the Academys near me have had plenty of 223/5.56 the last few times I've been in there. Along with some various rimfire and centerfire ammo. I even saw 300BLK the other day. Still no 9mm though. I can't get there early enough for that I guess.

I am seeing certain items open up some, but many things have remained the same. What I'm seeing is more people buying (hoarding) ammo just to have it rather than shooting it. But there are many "shooters" who are having trouble getting what they need. Most everything is a compromise on bullet choices right now.

Primers are still extinct. A sales rep for a fairly large wholesale company, that only deals with FFL holders called me twice in March and April. He got in 3k primers the first time, then 5k primers the second time. That's all. And previously they would buy primers for manufacturers by the 100k.

Powders show up almost weekly, but only stay in stock for minutes.

Bullets and brass are my biggest problem right now.

I expect Berger bullets to catch up before other bullet makers. Only because Sierra and Hornady bullets get loaded in more live ammunition than Berger bullets. Hand loaders are second fiddle to the big ammunition manufacturers, and have been for 14 months now.

Also, here's the kicker. I need 147 gr 9mm (subsonic for a suppressor). I've still got 6 or 700 rounds of it, but that will only get me through the summer.

Most powders are doing ok, but the Hodgdon Extreme line (H1000, H4350, Retumbo, etc) are hard to get or non-existent. I've been using a lot of the IMR Enduron series, which work very well.

Primers, I've had 2 major suppliers get me 2 large shipments to keep things going. Both stopped taking back orders a long time ago. When they did get a primer shipment in, they called all their top customers and allowed you to purchase some. Those 2 shipments were the most beneficial for me. I'm still not seeing much primer movement.

The biggest issue is brass and bullets. There are many cartridges and bullets you simply can not get in.

I picked up 2 boxes of the deadliest mushroom in the woods for my .270 at Academy the other day. Very happy to see the green and yellow boxes coming back.

Powder seems to be increasing in availability, but primers are weird to me. A month ago I was passing on primers because I felt I would just be hoarding them after buying several bricks in March, but now I haven’t seen many notifications.

My biggest problem is finding Nosler 7mm bullets. I finally was able to buy 200 140 BT’s the other day after trying for months. I’m set for years now, and may try to trade the 100 150 BT’s away since I don’t want to test them.

Btw Midsouth has 16 lb. cases of H335 in stock....

Lots of stuff rolling in these days, Remington primers started hitting the shelves this week so this will help the primer crises a little fairly soon it think. The popular bullets are out their but they don’t last long and other than 6.5 PRC and 300 PRC brass I’ve seen pretty much everything being sold this week so if anybody’s needs something other than those 2 post it up and I’ll list them as they come up.

It’s rained so much lately we haven’t worked a lot and finding this stuff has become my hobby lol I’m laying in bed at 3am looking for stuff still roflmao

Buzz, one of my suppliers got in 400K of brass and bullets of 9mm. I thought about getting in 100K of them to load. But I ran the numbers, and I would have needed to sell them for about $0.88 a round, so I passed on the deal. I do get a lot of calls on 9mm though.
