Made it several times while quail hunting in south Texas. Great food and service.

I went there years ago when it was named something else. I prefer the Kings Inn.

it was called baffin bay cafe......I use to go there pretty often, it has gotten busier over the past 1 or 2 years. I like it because you can order individual plates and wear a hat

The hat comment gave me a chuckle.

Went to college in Kingsville, never went to the Kings Inn. They pissed me off when I first moved there with that hat thing, and I never went back. Baffin Bay Cafe was dang good though.

Herbie, they just ask that you remove your hat/cap while inside. It’s just a common courtesy/manner thing.

I understand that I am not that young to remember that being very common. I didn't know they made a stink about it.

I understand taking the hat off at a nice place, but a place that serves fried food on the "Texas riviera" that use to be a beer joint and bait stand does not qualify as one......but their shrimp is hard to beat

X2 It used to a common courtesy to remove your hat i=while indoors.

They wanted me to take it back to my truck. instead of just hanging on to it.

Kings Inn tartar sauce is really good!

Some of the best seafood I've had. I don't remember the hat thing. I normally don't wear a hat indoors though.
