Dewberries:
Look what nature provided for me. There is a dry creek running through my backyard and the whole hillside is covered with these. Noticed the thorny plants a couple of years ago well they must have matured this year. It takes 3-4 years for them to produce.

My FIL normally picks 20-30 gallons a year to freeze. I'm a pretty big fan of Dewberry pie & cobbler.

Man, if I wasn't so far away I would load up my kids and have a picking party! I like blackberries.

I miss having dewberry patches crying They're almost worth the chiggers. Not quite, but almost...

Blackberries are hybrids. Dewberries are the result, usually, of birds eating and spreading seeds. They don't regrow as the parent plant.
