I never have hogs come out in daylight. The last 2 weeks a single boar has gotten brave and come out just before sunset and he or another just before sunrise. I have motion detectors at both feeders and can sit and hunt of get some sleep, depends on how much I did that day. Well, I decided to wait up for the evening visit and no luck. Alarms went off at 1:30, deer, 2:30 hog. I have enough cover to get about 35yards at this spot.
The thermal conditions and wind last night was really bad. I think he scented me and was headed out. For some reason he stopped and turned around. BAD mistake. 6.8 SPC 120 gr SST broke his neck.
No AM hog either.
He taped out at 48.5", 280-290#.
