As a once avid tournament fisherman I personally know nobody that cares if someone keeps their legal limit of fish. Most of you saying that simply do not know.

Same. And a lot of people are understanding now that keeping the dinks and >2 lb bass is considered management that benefits the lake in the long run.

An armed society is a polite society. No body interferes with what I do on the water, at least not when I'm there. I've had more trouble with folks cutting my limb lines.

This has not been my experience. I hosted a tournament last year (multi-species) and the bass guys went ballistic in their opposition and predictions of impending doom, simply because I had so few rules other than "fish must be caught legally" and "highest total weight wins." They were worried that allowing competitors to keep a legal limit of fish would harm the fishery.

It's funny how so many bass fisherman (who fancy themselves conservatives) think fishing is one area where we need a lot more rules in addition to what the government has already imposed.
