Just got back from a week in Grand Junction. The drive there was really nice, saw lots of game on the way up the mountains. Mule deer, antelope down low in New Mexico and southern Colorado, then elk, a lone buffalo (pretty sure he was on a ranch) and a few bald eagles.
The drive home....whole other story. Caught the typical Rocky Mountain thunderstorms climbing the West side, reached pretty much the summit in Vail and it dropped to 29 degrees with blizzards all the way down, then I managed to hit Amarillo and all the way to Fort Worth just in time for yesterday afternoon's thunder-boomers.
Pulled into the driveway at 3:30am, about a half hour ago. Gonna' get a quick nap and head to the office for some rest!

Sorry, the only pics I got were of the blizzard and snoow covered trees on my way down the Eastern face. I really need to get a real camera for these kind of trips.
