I really like the canned salmon for salmon patties, but I don't remember ever eating it any other way.

We use the boneless pink salmon. Probably eat salmon patties, baked in the oven 1/2 dozen times a year. Been eating them since I was a kid. My mother bought the can that had the bones in it and she fried them.

Many decades ago my family took a long vacation to the west coast and followed it all the way up, across Canada and back to TX in a 1963 Ford Country Squire station wagon. When we hit Oregon we bought a bunch of smoked salmon and then hit the Tillamook cheese factory. From there we nibbled on that daily until we got back to TX. Never have I been in a vehicle that smelled so bad in my life (OK once, when I spilled some Bob Cat urine in my truck). The smell of old socks and tennis shoes was over powered by the smell of smoked salmon and cheese. I've never had a bite of Salmon since.

2- small cans salmon, 2 eggs, crushed Ritz crackers, chopped onions, chopped de-seeded jalapeno, Dijon mustard, old bay seasoning, dill weed, garlic, lemon juice. Eat with tartar sauce.

Sounds great. They were a Friday staple growing up and I still like them - my kids not so much.

Love salmon patties. Funny story. My mom was buyinh some about 30 years ago. The lady at the register asked if we had a cat...Mom told her no, that we were gonna eat it. Salmon loaf is also very tasty.

I guess I just had way to many of those as a kid. Just the thought of them makes me feel ill now.

Love it! Salmon Patties, scrambled with eggs, or straight out of the can with tabasco pepper sauce. Yum!

I love salmon patties or tuna patties.

I love good salmon patties, grew up on them. My Granny made them all of the time for us. Fried crisp, cornmeal only, squirt lemon juice on as you eat them.

My grandad made a 3 month trip to Alaska when he retired. He brought back a travel trailer full of canned salmon. He found an Indian woman that would can it for him on the halves.We were still eating on it 10 years after he died. I like it.

Yep the bones chewed up just fine. Good memories of those patties. The more they keep printing money the more that type of protien may become common place again.

Had Salmon Patties tonight for supper. Wife makes them with egg, onions and crushed up saltine crackers. Dang they were good!

Canned salmon, or canned tuna, along with Frito scoops and a Shiner is often my dinner at the deer lease. Although lately I have turned to the foil packages due to simplicity in opening.

Good pink salmon straight out of the can and a can of pork and beans
