I prefer the Eldorado. We've stayed there on several occasions, but it's been a few years. Sign up for their VIP member, or whatever they call their Players Card program. You get free perks and they send you free room stays and such. We've been to some other casinos and they were not near as nice. It's not Vegas nice, but good for Shreveport.

I like El Dorado as well. The Horseshoe is not too bad either.

El Dorado is best, second is Margaretville. El Dorado will send you free rooms, Margaretville will send you free food coupons.
Be sure to sign up for the players cards in both places.

We go to El Dorado or Margaritaville which is next door to bass pro shop so we have to stop in.

El Dorado is where I prefer as well - know others who prefer Sam's town right beside it. Good luck!

Free drinks no table fees and if you are having bad luck at one casino you can go to another one that is close by.

Yep, I used to play those tables a lot, way better than the 6 deck shoes.

Wife and a made a run over a couple weekends ago. First time in a couple of years. El Dorado still seems to be the cleanest. Margaritaville only had $25 blackjack tables so that was a turnoff, but was clean and not very crowded.

Horseshoe only had $25 blackjack as well. Not sure what the deal was there. Sounded like we were in a nightclub with the music they were playing. Not the horseshoe that i remember.

Were all of them requiring masks? May have to wait if they are

We go pretty recular, only and hour away and my bride loves to gamble. Eldorado is always packed and almost impossible to get a drink. Horseshoe is our favorite., and you can easily get a drink. We only do slots though.

As far as masks go, yes masks are required, but last couple times we have been, this past weekend being the most recent, most everyone had them just hanging on their ears, and no mask police walking around. Just wear it in, then drop it.

We used to go to Eldorado (Hollywood) quite often. Never paid for a room or a meal. Stronger drinks were next door at Sams Town. It's been a few years though.

Went there when they first opened

Tried the buffet, they had large pile of peel and eat shrimp with [censored] roaches climbing over them. Never went back

Same here, I like the Horseshoe. I'm a Black Jack player and the atmosphere there is better than the others to me. One of my quail hunting buddies works at Margaretville, next time i go I'll give it a shot.

Got back yesterday from Shreveport. Stayed 2 nites at the Eldorado. Got free rooms. $10 blackjack tables. Not crowded and never had trouble getting a seat at a table. Were very relaxed on the mask BS. Had a very good time. We used to go to Coushatta but they have jacked up the table fees. So lately we have been going to Shreveport. About the same long drive as Coushatta but don't have IH10 or Houston to contend with.

Thanks for all the feedback. We'll probably head to either El Dorado or Horseshoe. Not too worried about comps as we live less than 2 hours or so away so it's just a afternoon get out of the house deal for us since its too wet to do much else. Haven't played slots in a while so that's what we'll probably do.
