I will say, you can feel pretty insignificant on a 14ft piece of plastic next to a 9ft hammerhead. Still, hooking a kingfish while trolling in a kayak is a blast.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

I have hooked some big sharks from a yak and I agree that a hammer has power and speed! That can be a recipe for getting wet in a yak! I got a 10footer and it was a rodeo! Lol

Nice! I've had my tandem ocean kayak since 1994 and still fish from it from time to time. I hooked several jack crevalle along the Galveston jetties that took me for a long ride. A few sharks too.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
