I have a recurring order for pet meds every 3 months. Got my notice and the price had increased $9.00. Doesn't seem like much but it's a 32% increase when you annualize it. Everything is shooting up. I wonder what will be the first to fold? Will it be Real estate? Work from home has to have an effect on vacancy of office space. New home prices will have to build in the increased cost of materials. Will the stock market suffer a major correctio? I've seen many cycles but never one like this. So much gov't intervention. I'm baffled.

I'll take today's dollars with today's earnings. I picked cotton.

Something has got to happen. I have no idea what but it is going to happen. The wonderful guv. cannot keep spending and printing money the way is before the sh*t hits the fan. Years ago there needed to be enough gold to cover the paper money. No more. Now If you don't have the gold just print more money. Eventually the fan is going to be hit. I may or not be around the see it. But is is going to wake up a lot of folks.

If interest rates jump, real estate will take a big hit

Our Socialist leaders are trying to crash the dollar and it obvious. They have figured out they cant tax the rich man to the point that he is poor, but they can crash his dollars to the point that he is poor. At that point we undergo a reboot and everyone starts at zero with the new currency and new normal.

Study world currencies over the last 200-300 years and you will see that inflation (and war) is what led to the reboot of their societies. We already know they hate America so its not hard to figure out what is going on. They are trying to launch civil war based on race and economic war on our currency.

Yep the Gold Standard. Not even backed by silver anymore either. In fact all the money being thrown around in the last year or so aint even backed by paper money. They don't even try to print the dollars anymore because the machines cant keep up. They just print what I call "digital dollars" now.

Yep. I've been down this road before, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Beautiful wife Bill. I like those Tom Jones sideburns your sporting.

I don't think our government can let interest rates climb. It would be a disaster. I don't see how they can stop feeding the beast. Think of all the leverage that is supporting investments with single digit returns. Rates climb and debt service can't be met. Defaults and bankruptcies would skyrocket.

2008?????

"BY KIMBERLY AMADEO REVIEWED BY ERIC ESTEVEZ Updated October 26, 2020
On October 3, 2008, President George W. Bush signed the $700 billion Emergency Economic Stabilization Act (EESA) of 2008 after Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson asked Congress to approve a bailout to buy mortgage-backed securities that were in danger of defaulting. By doing so, Paulson wanted to take these debts off the books of the banks, hedge funds, and pension funds that held them. His goal was to renew confidence in the functioning of the global banking system and end the financial crisis.1"

2008 + the BS pandemic + computer driven terrorist hacks of our financial system or power grid. Times and weapons have changed. Plus our dependence on so many others (China, Saudis) has made us incredibly vulnerable.

They can only artificially prop up the economy for so long with this Stimulus BS before a major correction occurs and it will be soon! Sell your stocks now up

Free advice is generally worth what you pay for it. I have cash reserves but there is no way I'm pulling out of equities altogether. Ask Sniper John. He will not cost you an arm and a leg. You can take it too the bank.

I already did before I retired and sold my city home while the real estate market was up. Just waiting for the bubble to pop now but I'm good.

We'll know more about the economy and markets whenever the past due mortgages and rents come due!

The deferred rent and stays on evictions are masking a lot of problems. When those go away we'll see what the economy is really like. New projects are going to be harder to get financed due to the large increases in cost. Cost of borrowing can't get much lower. Multi-family and single family construction will probably slow down. Anytime costs go up, fewer people can qualify for loans. The longer the false market drags on the worse the downturn will be. Only my opinion.
