Nice job on that. Model 74 are neat old guns. I have one that I need to start shooting again.

My 74 shoots great. Good job on the restore.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

How did you get out the scratches on the metal?
Orbital sander various grits down to 400 then some fine steel wool. I sanded off all the original blueing, rust, pits, engraving from the barrel receiver and small parts then applied Birchwood Casey Super Blue.
