There is an old Chinese saying that goes "May you live in interesting times." It can be considered either a blessing or a curse depending on context.
Pigs fall right in that category. They are a curse. But that doesn't mean I don't love to hammer down on them every chance I get. Take advantage of that opportunity and have some fun.

Target-rich environment. The only problem I see is for your wife/girlfriend due to year-round hunting.
