Looking for a GP100 or Smith and Wesson 686 in .357 mag with 6" barrel in stainless. 6 or 7 shot ok. Image for reference.

I have the 6 shot version of that. It was the first revolver I ever bought. I wanted a Colt Python, but figured out I could buy the GP161 and the Ruger P85 for the same price as the Python.
Boy was that a mistake. How much are you looking to pay for the Ruger? I have never sold a gun before, I always figured you married them more than bought them.

I did end up buying the Python years later...

Thats the gun I think of when I see all these posts about what guns you would buy if you had X amount of money. I would buy this gun above and a Marlin 357 lever gun with the pretty wood.
