Got drawn for New Mexico tag on my first try. Muzzleloader Section 236 Nov 20 - 24!
This will be my first elk hunt so I'm super pumped. Anyone hunt this area in the past?

Congratulations! Should be an incredible time of the year to be in the elk woods and carrying a smoke pole to boot. I'm jealous. Best of luck

A lot of elk there. That’s a good unit, get there early to get some scouting done. There is ALOT of ground to cover

A lot of elk there. That’s a good unit, get there early to get some scouting done. There is ALOT of ground to cover That's what I hear. Found out one of the members on our lease has hunted this unit quite a bit. I'm going to get as much information from him as I can and of course get in some much needed practice with the muzzy.

Just read my license again. Apparently 236 is the hunt code and the Unit is 15.
