Had it last night at the Sakura Japanese Steakhouse. I recommend it. Very good.

Next is Gallup NM. No idea where to eat there. Suggestions are welcome.

Grand Canyon, painted desert, Monument Valley, and others.

Tried to get food in Albuquerque. No luck. Hour wait at Cracker Barrel. Went further on down the road and found a Carl’s Jr. Had the chicken strips. Nasty.

Mexican food tonight. New Mexico Mexican. We’ll see how that turns out.

This has turned out to be NOT a foodie trip. Can’t wait to get back to Texas and quit wearing that mask.

When New Mexico you will be asked “ Red or Green?”. It pertains to which Chile you want on your food. I always asked which is hotter. Red is not always hotter than the green.
And New Mexico enchiladas are not the same as Tex Mex enchiladas.

Had a pretty good hatch chile burger in ABQ once. The place was on route 66 across from the UNM campus. Our Uber driver told us that ABQ is the highest state capitol in elevation.

There’s a burger chain in that area called Blake’s Lot-a-Burger. Last time through there we ate at on one in Santa Fe and Espanola. Standing in the walk up line our eyes were burning due to the green chills fumes coming from the grill exhaust.

Never expected to see Amarillo and sushi together.
