Needing to re-deck my 16' car hauler. Price of wood is quite prohibitive currently for pressure treated. I remember some posts on here in the past where someone re-deck with used telephone poles from a sawmill on the east side of Dallas.

Any info or links to a post or a similar business.

C-purlin is a good alternative and compared to the cost of wood, it probably cheaper right now.

It really needs to be rhino lined or no skid surface.

I had a 24’ gooseneck that we used 6” c purlin and it was slick as dairy [censored]

Yup.

Get a wet deck, and mud on boots and tires, and the purlin is like ice.

Hardin Sawmill up in Sanger has the sawn telephone poles. Very good for this application.

If it’s only a car hauler and never gravel or dirt, pick up some used catwalk.

Harden has it, but plan to order over a month in advance. Pain in the [censored] and I ended up using PTL because Harden didn't come through in time

You could always weld sone expanded metal on top of the c purlin for traction. Metal prices have jumped but I don’t think they are as crazy as wood right now.
