Recently had an old 4-wheeler stolen off family property that no one lives on any more but we still have cattle and hunt on occasion. Any suggestions for cellular trail camera to use for monitoring property until July/ August. Will move to woods across the street once we start back filling feeders. Think AT&T is best service where property is located. My brother had the Moultrie one and it only worked good for about a week. Thanks in Advance

Tactacam Reveal if you can find it. $100 bucks and you can pick ATT or VZ. Pretty good pictures and relatively cheap monthly service.

I've had good luck with the Stealth Cam Fusion with AT&T. Been running about a year with no problems, unit costs $149, the cell package is minimal cost.

I’ve had horrible luck with cell cams. This season I’m trying Stealth and if they don’t work, Covert is next.
Past seasons I’ve had Snyper, RidgeTec and Moultrie. The first two needed more attention than I could give them being 4 hours away. The Moultrie worked fine but their pictures weren’t very good. They are supposed to have a new one coming and I’d try it.
Tactacam’s night pictures suck at best, too much blur if things are moving.

Was using covert without a problem then they switched from 3g to 4 g my camera didn’t support it. Offered me a deal on a new camera but decided to go with spypoint. Well I’m back to covert and very happy with my decision.

I've been pretty happy with the RidgeTec Lookout. It comes with AT&T and Verizon SIMs so you can use which ever one works best in your area. Lots of different plans for your budget, the pics are pretty good, and the app is intuitive and easy to use. Depending on your upload and heartbeat settings, it can be pretty tough on lithiums, so I put it on a solar set-up and this has worked perfectly and is now worry free.
It even survived the freeze and showed temps as low as -9, but never missed a beat. Works for me. YMMV.

The Fusion is in inventory at the local Cabela’s. How quick does it send photos? Can I set up an alert that will wake me up at night so I can go shoot the offending hog while its still there? Only reason I need it is so I can get an alert that the hogs have arrived.

I have become a big fan of the Stealth Fusion cameras. I have 3 now and they work great and are about as user friendly as you can get. If you go to the link below one of my last posts on that thread will walk you through step by step on how you can get 2 of them from the manufacturer for $200 and they come with 16GB SD cards so you are ready to roll if you have 8 AA batteries the day you get it. https://texashuntingforum.com/forum...-cam-fusion-w-solar-pwr-unit#Post8184684
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Have a couple of Bigfoot's now, but will use these too. Pretty good way to monitor ranch security, as well as game.

So has anyone here used a Reconyx HF2XC HyperFire 2 Cellular Covert Camera? I have been running Reconyx for a dozen years. Finally had my 1st one quit on me. Reconyx Cellular looks to be twice what others are but the service is $11 a month for 2200 pics.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

That is about the average cost of most of the different camera plans I think If you got a dozen years out of any game camera I have to ask you...........how in the hell did you do it?! wow Honestly, I know their cameras are a bit more expensive but if they are lasting that long I'd say very, very impressive indeed

Hornslayer I use covert but a different camera (code black) I am on a yearly plan 90 dollars for 30,000 pics. I tried cheaper cameras but went back to covert. They cost more but worth it in the long run.

I have 2 Spartans with Verizon cell services that work great. Highly recommend them.
I have heard good things about the Tatacam Reveals. They're cheap to purchase but their plans are a little more expensive
