I remember all the hoopla about Open Carry, none of that ever happened after it was passed. I reckon it will be the same case here with Constitutional Carry.

I remember all the hoopla about Open Carry, none of that ever happened after it was passed. I reckon it will be the same case here with Constitutional Carry. It was the same when Texas passed license to carry. The naysayers had blood running in the streets. Mass gunfights on the town square. Everybody gonna die or be maimed by gunfire. But the reality is, that didn't happen. In fact the crime rate, especially the violent crime rate took a huge dip. And armed society is a polite society.

I remember all the hoopla about Open Carry, none of that ever happened after it was passed. I reckon it will be the same case here with Constitutional Carry. It was the same when Texas passed license to carry. The naysayers had blood running in the streets. Mass gunfights on the town square. Everybody gonna die or be maimed by gunfire. I'lI'm sure most of you have been in a Concealed Carry class. I've been in a few myself. Each time there were people in those classes that had never shot a gun before. In my LTC class, there was someone that had not shot a gun before. They would not let them take the course because they are supposed to have the basic skills to use their handgun before attending the class. Maybe it’s not the law, but it was the requirement where I went.

Yep... There was an open town hall about the proposed legislation just south of me Wednesday night. If I'd known in advance I would have attended. The news article I read included some of the public comments made at the meeting. Nearly every comment in opposition was a LTC instructor. Strangely enough, there were no criminals in attendance to comment. That's the OTHER segment of the population I'd assume to be in opposition.
