May look at uhaul or Home Depot truck. Yeah man, everything is Fd right now. I went to get my oil changed at Toyota last week, and they didn't have any Tundras, Tacoma, 4Runners, or sequoias. Apparently there is an Ecu shortage, they are manufacturing all the vehicles, and installing the computers later.... I dont know if it is effecting any other manufacturers.

A lot of the rental car companies sold their cars due to Covid-19. Due to car shortages they cannot fill their fleets. Yup. Noticed the Chevrolet dealer in Wills Point had a grand total of about 3 new vehicles on their lot and zero used vehicles. Somewhat similar story at the Ford house next door, but they had way more than 3...still nowhere near a full lot though.

Yes there is a shortage. Many rental car companies sold off their fleet during the pandemic. Now there is a backlog for getting new vehicles.
To be determined

Had to get a car service to take us from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa. 160 bucks.
Wife not having the uhaul van. It was 30 bucks a day and 59 cents a mile.

Rescheduled a vacation that was cancelled last June. Found out that rental cars have more than doubled in price in just a year. But supposedly I now have a friggin compact lined up. They're crazy expensive!

Some girl hit my sons parked car in Austin, there were no cars available there. So he came to San Antonio to pick one up..... he ended up with a mini van! LMAO he went from a lexus to a mini van. Yeah there's a shortage. How hard did she hit it? She snagged the bumper, and kept on going, it was after 1am.... 3k in damages. I would duct tape that fender up and drive it til I found a decent rental.

Dropped my truck at the body shop Tuesday morning to get some hail damage repaired. Enterprise met me as scheduled (the previous day) with my full size SUV (because they couldn't get me a pickup). Maybe they were giving me preferential treatment because Geico is paying for the car? I dunno, but we also have a crew out of town working right now, with two rentals, and didn't hear about them having any trouble at the airport rental agency.

Cathy rents a car when she comes to visit because I hate to drive to the airport. I know a shortcut to HEB and Walmart. I could take the road less traveled on my Gator if needed. Never mind. She just bought an Acura SUV and plans to drive. I hope she takes some of her junk, old clothes and books home with her.

It is affecting all of them. Toyota dealer in Rockwall has had very few trucks on the lot for 6 months or more.

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Called B-Dubs last night to get food for the crew. They had no bone-in wings, said there was a national wing shortage. Ordered from Wing Stop, no issues. It's a labor shortage, thanks to "Stimulus" hand outs. You can get all the whole birds you want, there's just not enough workers at the plant to cut up chickens right now.

My B-I-L worked on an assembly line for an RV awning manufacturer. He hasn't worked in a year and is pulling down almost $1k a month more than when he worked.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

My home builder cannot hire any laborers...making too much drawing freebies from the government.
