Yeah but the headlines read to be so much worse. Tight is not a warning, it was a statement

How can power be so "tight"? It aint even hot yet. Considering all the crap ERCOT earned in February, they should re-appoint good leadership that deters the conditions that make things tight. Unless that's the goal.

Can you imagine what this summer is going to be like?

Yep, it is mind boggling that things can be "tight" this time of year. Hope they get this stuff figured out ASAP.

Allegedly many plants were offline for maintenance. Spring is the best time to do the winterizing they will be mandated to do.

This is why I'm glad I have TVA as my provider. All they have to do is increase/decrease the water being released by the TVA dams. We do have Brown's Ferry nuke juice as well.

Good leadership ensures that not too many are off at the same time leading to 'tight' resources while still allowing for plants to be properly maintained. At least that's how it's been for the last 40 years I've lived here. Given the bad press ERCOT got, If I were in charge I'd put some thought in to how to get the job done and not continue to kill my credibility at the same time.

I'm sure they're hiring.

This ^^^. Many plants did not get their regular maintenance done due to China virus.
