Skinnerback, me and someone else here were just talking about the tomato plant smell. Every time I smell it(daily now) I’m 10years old, standing in Papa’s chigger patch, pickin’ maters and Ho’n weeds. It takes me back every time and this smell is growing to be one of my faves.
There’s a certain potpourri that is my Granny’s smell. Gasoline from a distance smells good. Faint skunk smell too. Smell of a field near a low lying creek in Summer as you drive with the windows open and it drops 5 degrees Smell of the lake before sun up in Summer 2stroke exhaust
Next time we drive with the kids im gonna tell my wife to hush put a pony tail in her hair and a hat on and roll the windows down. I grew up with the windows down, miss it like crazy
It's hell eatin em live

Honeysuckle and Gardenia. Both remind me of childhood and my grandmother, as well as my great grandmother Honeysuckle grew on my grandmother’s back fence and my great grandmother had a bunch of gardenia bushes. Simpler time for sure. Rain Camp fire Fresh baked bread, biscuits or cinnamon rolls
For the record, you guys should probably stop sniffing exhaust fumes from an outboard.

My wife's perfume.
Burning mesquite in a campfire, stove, grill, or smoker.
Holding your neighbor's Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .270 and smelling the Hoppe's #9 and the Singer Sewing Machine Oil he has used to care for it its entire life.

Following a cattle trailer.
Back in high school when we would be out doing whatever in our ag class and a cattle truck went by our ag teacher would inhale deeply and then say "man, that smells like money". To this day I still think of him when I see or smell a cattle truck.

I'm surprised. On this forum I figured the top 3 would be :
- Money - Bacon - Stripper glitter gloss
Not necessarily in that order.

Yep, I put a little dab of Hoppe's #9 behind each ear when Mrs RayBob and I are going out. The young waitresses love it too !

Read through all 3 pages of this thread and have to say I concur with 99.99% of posts. Hard to pick a favorite, not sure what I would do if I lost my sense of smell. It's sprinkling and 55* now so guess i will go sit on the patio and smell the spring sweetness.
