It’s ridiculous! We’ve seen 17 in a single night time trail cam pic! They have a system where the younger skinnier ones will go up the ladder and climb down on a tube and scoop and drop the protein to the old fat ones (Coon & Crocketts) waiting below.
We’ll drive around and shoot 5-10 off the feeders some nights and week later the same feeders are overrun again.
Getting worse each year.

All Dukes traps. I added braided cable and carabiners so we can just clip to panels, wrap around larger diameter trees, etc so we don't have to stake them down. We have 24 and this makes easy work of setting and taking them up.

Are you putting them up high on the panels or is that where they end up? Wondering how the trap stays in place without staking them?

The trap itself is in staked into the ground. I was referring to not having to stake the chain end as well. We clip the carabiner to the fence panel or use the wire extension to wrap around a tree vs. hammering hold-down stakes into the ground as well. This was the initial modification where we'd just work the trap back through the loop to cinch it to the fence or tree. The clips just made it a bit easier. Also have link to the clips we used. Dang coons got so fat at our place they literally tore down all the varmint cages and spun all the corn out of the feeders. Guess I'll try some Dukes traps

Been working on them pretty hard myself, since feed prices have gone up. Dukes with some dry cat food in them is working great.

Duke's traps are great. I've lost a couple of traps by not properly staking or securing them. They are relentless little critters, so you really have to over-secure the traps. I've also had traps with just a leg in there and no body.

We had three traps this past weekend with nothing more than a paw in them. They wrapped the trap chain around feeder leg or cattle panel, rendering the swivels useless and allowing them to twist the foot off and live another day. Waiting to see if we eventually re-catch one of them or if they are now trap wise and avoid them.

Caught number 34 last night in a dog proof. Crazy how many are out there. Wish hogs were as easy to catch!
