I haven't read it but it sounds like several THFers at a deli trying to figure out what to order off the menu...

I read it probably 15 years ago and used some of the points to write a few papers back in college. Interesting read.
As an ag major I agreed with several points - and disagreed with several more as they were rooted in false narratives and BS.

I read it when it came out. Polan makes some good points in it and asks some really good questions.

I enjoyed the read, and it opened me up to many issues and perspectives that i was never aware of. Cant say I agreed with everything in it, but it was very good overall.

Been a while, but IIRC his statements that all grain finished cattle are sick and require constant medication and antibiotics. Made it sound like they were fed linear corn only diets - more or less insinuating that feedlot cattle all suffer from acidosis. Which obviously couldn't be further from the truth as to what actually goes into formulating and the ingredients in grain finishing operations. Overall it was a good read - with excellent points, but got a little off base with his facts in places.
