I recently acquired a S&W model 610 in 10MM (no dash). My question is what ammo does everyone recommend for this revolver? I shot some 10MM Auto this past week but the spent cartridges won't eject properly. The rim of the bullet doesn't get caught by the ejector when trying to empty it.

This is my first 10MM revolver so I guess I'll play the dumb card. Is there a specific bullet that has a bigger rim?

Half moon clip should do the trick. Chad has some good 10mm ammo too.

Full moon or half moon clips should resolve that issue for you. Right now whatever ammo you can find.

The bullet does not have a rim nor should it be touching the extractor . After you shoot the cartridge the bullet should exit on it's own if everything is working correctly .The case for 10mm is rimless and needs moon clips to let the extractor pull them from the cylinder .

Should have had some moon clips with it. Look at this S&W site picture to see what a moon clip is. It has 6 rounds locked in it. https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/model-610

I use the Rimz plastic moon clips in my 610. They work well for range use or my hunting adventures. Never shot any factory ammo in it just reloads.

10-4...thanks for all the input. Learn something new every day. The gun was manufactured in 1992 and is a joy to shoot.

That's a sweet gun. Back in my club shooting days, that was THE gun for bowling pin matches!
