Last time I was in a mall was a couple years ago. Willowbrook Mall in Houston has (had?) a Godiva chocolate store, and the wife loves their truffles...and so do I.

My thoughts also. I wouldn’t go to any of those armed, damn sure not armed.

the carrying in a posted area is a hand slap anyway.

Ask you if you're armed. And if you are, ask you to leave. Then you leave, and the whole thing is over.

If a rent-a-cop tries to detain someone I can see that guy ending up being sued.

Malls? I didn't know they still existed.

I would bet that there is a door on that mall somewhere that is not posted. It may not be a main entrance door, but I would think they would miss one somewhere.

I been to a mall once in my life and that was over 40 years ago.
I didn’t care for it at all.
I don’t plan on going back to one.

It would be fun to go into one after a session at the gun range, with lots of powder scent on you. Be sure and walk by the dog so it will hit on you, possibly even get bitten and then be searched and no weapon found. It could make for a nice lawsuit against the mall. I could see some folks trying it, like the ones that spill something on a stores floor, then fall down in it to be able to sue.

I live close to Northeast Mall in Hurst. Went there recently just to see what is there. Hadn’t been in a lot of years. I walked the whole place and didn’t see a store that would have had anything that would interest me.

Daughter text me a picture of the sign in Town East Mall that just had a picture of a gun in a circle with a slash through it. It said firearms were prohibited and it was private property with security officers and dogs on the premises. LOL. She said no 30 06 or 30 07 signs on any entry doors. I told her to walk right past the sign and do not worry about it unless asked to leave. She conceal carries.

Haven't been to a mall in probably 15 years and do my best to stay away from any metro area anyway. Lived off Cooper road in Arlington back in 1986, when a developer bought all the farm land to the east to build the Parks mall. Within 5 years Cooper and I-20 had the highest concentration of retail space in America. The original Walmart - then a test store call HyperMart, opened on the southeast side of Cooper and I-20. Traffic and crime got so bad we moved in 1992.

That is the proper response.
