Give it time - mine are just now budding out.
On mine the branches usually die off back to the ground on cold winters in North Texas, then grow back amazingly fast and put a full crop of figs.
I usually wait to see where it buds and new branches spout, before cutting back any of the dried out ones.

Nailed it. Cut one stalk all the way to the ground. Trim higher up if its still living.

Reminds me of one of my favorite saying. " Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst."

Our 3 fig trees bark has split wide open in numerous places.
Should I trim back the branches or say good-by?

I've heard of freeze dried fruits before but never the whole tree...I hope it gets back to figging and producing loincloths quick...

What is it with the stalking. I should have told you sooner that i prefer women. Trying to get me bumped of here where you can move up a notch? It is not fair to the OP. You already shut diem SW thread about reading books. I realize the you may not read but several THFers do.

Did your bark split open?
Did you find fresh limbs?
Mine have some bark split open in different areas.

No splits but no buds or leaves. Branches are brittle and bone dry. angel
