We see custom rigs with the best parts all the time. I want to see the ugly rifles that consistently let the bodies hit the floor.

Mine is a stainless Tikka lefty action with its 3rd different barrel. This one is a blued, used 6.5 Creedmoor barrel that I bought from a THF seller. It's wearing a used B&C stock that I got on a trade deal. I installed the $10 Yodave trigger spring and a Triad stock pack. It shoots my 143 ELD-X handloads into one litte hole.

It killed enough whitetails, mulies, and hogs last season to earn my NX8 for next season.

What y'all got?

I have that same model in .25-06. I don't even have to aim. I can point it at what I want to shoot and it does the rest.

Glenfield 30A that I inherited from my grandfather. It was his primary deer gun for many decades, and he had worn a lot of the bluing off the receiver and barrel. The scope caps are plastic bottle lids painted black. I wish I knew how many deer he killed with this rifle. I had it refinished and installed a new scope. Sometimes feel I should have left it alone.

Most of my rifles would qualify as “ratrods” lol

My dad loved to tinker with Savages and re-barrel them with whatever caliber he thought “interesting”. When he passed, a lot of these “Savagesteins” passed down to me. Here are a couple of favorites (left) Savage 110 DM, 25-06 Shilen barrel, Timney trigger, Boyd Featherlight Thumbhole stock (right) Savage 110, 6.5x55 Shilen barrel, Timney trigger, Boyd Featherlight Thumbhole stock.

if a Tikka with Nightforce is Ratrod, my Tikka with a Primary Arms must be. So far, I've killed whitetail, mule deer, hogs, javelina with it, and below was the latest and best tasting victim of all.

It still needs to be cut down to 16".

Forgot about the “big cheese” of my ratrod rifles, my first serious deer rifle, a Springfield 840 in “thutty thutty”. Took a lot of Rusk, Nacogdoches and Tyler county whitetails in the 70’s and 80’s. The original K4 scope has been replaced with a Bushnell thinking it might improve accuracy....nope still mostly 2” with an occasional 1.5” group. It has been retired for several years as the last lease had shots well over 30-30 range. Now that I am on a new lease and back to sub 100 yd shot range, might have to give the old gal one more dance.
