Just curious how many on this forum are members of the Sons of the American Revolution. I'm a SAR member at the Capt. Barron Chapter in Tyler. I can't be in the Sons of the Republic of Texas as my family arrived in Texas in the 1850's. I could be in the Sons of the Confederate Veterans as I have several ancestors that fought in the 22nd Tennessee Calvary, the Alabama Infantry, etc. I just haven't done the paperwork yet. My next big thing is the Descendants of Washington's Army at Valley Forge. I have two ancestors that were there. I know of one ancestor and his brothers who fought at the Battle at King's Mountain. Anyway, just a shout out to all you history buffs and lineage researchers like me.
