The hunting better be very good to overshadow bordering a solar farm, or hunting under the wind turbines. You wont feel like you are in the middle of a pasture when hunting close to either one. I would keep looking. Solar farms destroy travel patterns of deer and if they border your lease, it will keep a certain number of deer off of your place because they will avoid the solar farm entirely because of the high fences, open area, and usually a bunch of sheep or goats are located on the solar farm to keep the ground cover to no higher than 2-3 inches.

The solar farms that I've seen have been totally covered in caliche, no grass. No habitat or life whatsoever.

To BassBuster1, how well did natural gas work during the outage?
You are aware that it would have to be almost -300 F for natural gas to freeze, right?
Born to hunt and fish.

After what most of us in Texas just endured I think I'll keep my coal and gas fired power plants. If the greenies want to build some turbines and panels that freeze up during the winter fine. Just don't punish us that still believe in the old fashion way of power. Al Gore can keep his Gulfstream - just don't patronize me in the process!
