They are also going after pistol braces. I love Trump but with the precedence he set with bump stocks Biden could do away with pistol braces with the swipe of a pen. Another thought, when the original "Assault Weapons Ban" was enacted many years ago the New York City Police Commissioner was asked about it and he stated such weapons were an immaterial factor on violent crime in NYC and if banned criminals would simply access other types of weapons. I have no idea about these privately manufactured weapons without serial numbers but off hand I'd bet the farm the percentage use of such weapons in crime is virtually immaterial. A lot of fuss about nothing. One more point, many years ago I thought about maybe becoming a part time gunsmith so I checked up on the rules of the game, etc. At that time you could NOT change barrels, etc. without stamping them, etc. AND keeping a set of books on your work for the4 ATF, so....are there already such laws on the books? It would seem so.

I want to see the pretzels of logic they twist themselves into to attempt to mandate a background check on something it is yet to become a firearm and has no serial number.
If someone sells you a block of Unfinished aluminum that has the general dimensions of an AR Lower would that be considered a 0% finished lower receiver? I think I'm going to go design a gun where I carve the receiver out of a 2 by 4 and watch every Home Depot in the country have to perform a background check on the hunk of wood. The proper I.D. of steel pipe, a few hardware store parts, and you have yourself a homemade shotgun. Bet it can be done for less than $10. I will bet. Please show pics when you are done!

Well here come the bumpstock type executive orders. Funny how these things cycle through the various hypocrites. "oh, I have no use for that!" "that only makes the gun less accurate." "it's just a gimmick" "only criminals need that" "I'm fine as long as I have my shotgun"...
One shot is all it should take.
