Anybody tried this call? I picked it up at Holekamp's in Junction, but the young man that came up with it is out of Boerne. Sound's pretty close to a roar, in my opinion. 'Gonna wait until May/June and give it a go. I've tried Hoochie Mama cow elk calls with some, limited success.

My friend has used one of those at his place near Junction successfully for years, it's definitely effective for calling axis deer in!

No personal experience with it, but have heard hunters are successful with them.

I watched the guy who invented it and the goofball from the TV show "Trailing The Hunters Moon".

They made it look like it worked but they were on a HEAVILY populated axis ranch and it was the peak of the rut/roar.

I'm a sucker for anything hunting or shooting so I would probably buy one too.

Good Luck with it Creekrunner. Keep me posted on your field testings.
