Remington has gotten bought up by several companies. Don’t quote me but vista outdoors bought ammo division and name I believe.

Remington Arms says they're working again, and expect to be turning out firearms by May this year.

I saw a picture of the new Remington logo primers in stock at a local store online so they will continue to sell primers under that name

It's going to be interesting to see what comes out of the Remington plant in Ilion, NY now that it's owned by an investment group, the Roundhill Group LLC. Historically, such an arrangement has not ended well for employees. The Olin Company, owner of the Winchester brand and firearm designs, would end up selling their production facility in New Haven back to their employees, who would eventually run the effort into bankruptcy. Having retained rights to the Winchester brand and designs, Olin would partner with Browning and Miroku to begin marketing and selling firearms made in Japan. Thankfully, a much happier outcome came to Savage employees and their plant in Westfield, Massachusetts when Vista Outdoors sold the company to a group of investors led by Savage's management team. Unlike the earlier Winchester effort, Savage and its employees seem to be doing quite well, at least for now. I own a Savage Axis XP II and Model 110 Classic and they are both excellent performers. In fact, I consider the XP my greatest value rifle by far.

The ball is definitely in the court of the Remington employees in IIion and the quality of what rolls off their production lines.

I saw where they are selling ammo again. Don’t know about firearms. I have always been a Remington guy, so I am looking forward to see what they will have to offer.

After bankruptcy, Vista Outdoor ended up with Remington's former Lonoke ammo business, with Sierra Bullets buying the Barnes ammo segment.

If these new owners can't make money on ammo given the current market, they need to get out of the business completely.

Do you even think before you post or just post to keep your numbers up?

Based upon the current market it would be nothing short of a supply HELL trying to make ammo. Jeezzz TCD, that's a very ignorant statement even coming from you.

Shockingly, you aren't the only one that posts dumb [censored]. I do notice it's typically a certain age group. I've always said that I'll stay PLENTY busy when I retire but your group is starting to make me wonder. rolleyes

I wouldn't hold my breath on Rem guns (RemArms now), but the Rem ammo plant is up and running at near the old capacity. However they aren't mfg primers yet since they are upgrading that area. I expect much higher quality primers to come out of there once they start mfg of them.

As Mike Honcho mentioned, Vista got the Remington brand name along with the ammo business. Vista is a solid well ran company so I expect good Remington branded products from them.

I haven't read or heard anything that states the firearms made at the IIion, NY plant now owned by the Roundhill Group won't carry the Remington brand.
