Picked these up a couple days ago....what should I read next? I’m leaning towards Phil Collins but not sure....

What says you?

Empire of the Summer Moon and Band of Brothers are fantastic reads. Haven't read the other 2, but let us know what you think when you get to them.

Try a book in the Red River series by Reavis Wortham. They're set along the Red River in the 1960's.

Sins of the Pioneers, Crimes and Scandals of Small Texas Towns by James Pylant. So far it has been good coverage of Erath county and the Stephenville area.

Life or Death by Michael Robotham. Robotham is a great author that flies under the radar. About 60% thru Life or Death and it's a really good book. Highly recommend!!

I’m reading “Aristotle’s Revenge” a book on the foundations of the philosophy of science by Edward Feser. I’m also reading “Legends of Texas” by J. Frank Dobie. Feser is great as usual. Dobie’s first book on Texas legends was better.

I actually thought that empires got a little monotonous. Not bad though.

Just finished dances with wolves and now about 50 pages in to HMS surprise, book 3 in the master and commander series.

Guess they wanting you to think outside the box.
When I start a thread I usually take great care to word it so that i will get replies directly addressing what it is I want to know. It never works-always goes off on tangents. I think its human nature for people to reply about what they feel comfortable with and if its only partially related to the main topic then thats good enough. I know I do this all the time.

Going off on tangents is one of the things I love the most about this place....I wasn’t busting chops, just thought it was funny....

I have added a couple to my “buy” list from the replies.... cheers
