Use cheap brass.

All ARs should have brass catchers, especially in these times.

A faster burn rate powder than the powder that would be loaded in a bolt action. So faster burn rate than H-4350.

No doubt!

I don’t shoot the AR’s with any regularity at all they are just hunting guns to me.
Sighted in and ready to go hunt pigs..

I need a brass catcher, I’ve read they melt and only work for a little while. Never had one when these went to get sighted in I put a small tarp on the ground to collect the cases still managed to loose one.

My cheap Caldwell has not melted. Hot brass might stick on occasion, but no damage to the catcher.

Agree with FiremanJG on the Caldwell. I have 2 that have seen a few hundred rounds each, they continue to work great and are without holes.

I use Caldwell brass catcher as well. I bought an extra mount, so I can move the brass catcher from one rifle to the other without tools.

How about crimping? Does the AR 10 feeding effect bullet seating when it strips rounds off magazine and slams them into battery?

Don't need to crimp. Never had a problem as long as you run normal neck tension.

I run .005" of neck tension, via bushing die, for .308 Win. No crimp, no problems.

I can't say the .005" neck tension is absolutely necessary, but I can say it does make reliable, good shooting ammo.

I run a Tactical brass Recovery brass catcher. Has been extremely durable for the last 5 years of pig hunting I use it for. It's not cheap, but it won't melt either. I shoot 6.8 in a AR-15 and 7.62x51 in AR-10, both suppressed. With cost of compents these days it's been money well spent.
