No, I found this on a dig on a ranch outside Bandera. A guy from Florida that was there offered me $500 cash for it and while many people would probably say I was dumb not to take the money, to me it's kind of like a lot of people on this site about favorite guns, I just couldn't give it up for cash, certainly not in the first few minutes I found it. Now if I find something worth 1000's I would probably think differently!! smile ani

It just looked very out of place for here. I grew up in Austin and hunted, fished and searched for artifacts all over Central Texas for many years, so the material is familiar to me.

Nice find. Many such examples would not be complete (usually missing a good portion of the tip). Its a pretty sturdy piece looks like. Not exceptionally thin...but very nice. Percussion flaked with the possible exception of the tip.

A real keeper.
