I dream GREAT dreams every night. I think it's the Clonazepam I take with Aleve PM , Nexium and Gabapentin. Best dreams are right before I wake up while in DEEP sleep. I have a CPAP and I sleep hard.
My dreams are mostly about work (I'm retired), Sex (past girlfriends and wives), Hunting, cars (my old Jeep)
I also have dreams about falling, being caught in the open naked, snakes. I believe these have been known to mean something.
This being said, I'm becoming addicted to watching YouTube Videos, stayed up till 3:00am watching these:::
Drumeo, drumming Vid's
Mark Santa Maria (RC Car Blogger who lives in McKinney)
The Charismatic Singer (Opera Chick singer who listens to different singers and critics them) Her best one is when she listens to Disturbed's cover of The Sounds Of Silence and Chris Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey.
7/4Gear, a 747 Pilot's videos describing viral crashes and bad flying JU JU Dreams are fun, typically. Fun dreams are especially fun. Even dreams that border on horror can be fun. Strange dreams are the best, I think.

To me dreams are kind of like one's imagination gone a hair wilder than when he or she is awake, kind of derring-do in the face of adventure, not mundane...I don't remember them as a general rule either, so I guess I don't put much significance on them other than nightly entertainment I produce and direct myself some kind of wacky way...I could swear I have woken up just enough to realize I was leaving a cool dream and fell right back into it in some fashion...

Thank goodness since retirement the bad dreams have diminished. I was always fighting a gang member to the death in all of them. Sometime with a knife, sometimes with a gun. For years they wouldn't die no matter how much I shot or stabbed them, but years later on I could. When I won, I would wake up, go back to sleep and no more dreaming. Messed up stuff but I persevered.

Seems like a long time ago I that a person has 3 + dreams every night but may not remember any of them, which begs the question how would they know? I seldom dream anymore that I know of or can remember by the time I wake up. Whats freaky is when you have a dream that is so real it wakes you up

I have what I would call bad dreams somewhat regularly, but the ones like you describe are extremely rare. When they happen it can be upsetting. I have woken up from them and gone to the living room to watch TV because I didn't want to go back to sleep and take a chance of the dream starting back up. I have never been able to pinpoint anything to attribute it to, they just seem random to me. There have been a couple that made me question my sanity.

Your brain, while sleeping, doesn’t have the cognitive thinking to imagine or create, instead it uses the memory section. Everything you see in a dream is something you’ve seen before, wether on TV, movies, read in a book, real life, your brain is just reliving the moment.
Your brain does however have the ability to change parts of what you’ve seen and swap known people in place of unknown, or combine different scenes, this is what makes the dreams seem so real.

And I mean really bad dreams. The kind of stuff that doesn’t just go away. The kind of stuff you would never think about, but feel guilty anyway because it happened in your head.
I had one of those last night. Been thinking about it all day. Still thinking about it, obviously. It’s got me wondering how something like that could manifest in my brain. I’m not the nicest guy or the straightest arrow, but I’ve never thought about twisted stuff like this. I won’t talk about it on here, for sure. I highly doubt I ever tell anyone about it. It’s too wicked. I’d rather I didn’t remember it.
Has this happened to you? What, if anything, do you think it means? I know there’s some stuff in the Bible about dreams, and there’s some significance to them. I also know we are held accountable for our thoughts. How does this all tie in? Are you on any kind of sleeping meds? I am on Ambien and the local, pharmacy changed their generic source to another brand and those gave me nightmares. Went went away after a week.

When I got out of the service I had bad dreams for about 2 years. They slowed down sometime during the third. I know certain things I eat, drink or smell can trigger some interesting dreams.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

I had some wild dreams after mom passed away from cancer. Pretty much took out the entire MD Anderson Cancer Center with a machete and remember every detail (high velocity blood spatter)
Gives us a hint of your dream at least???

Have you ever been killed in a dream and seen your dead body laying there? I’ve heard some say you will wake up before that happens

Dreams can some times show events of the future. Sometimes they warn us about our lives now.
In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
For God does speak—now one way, now another— though no one perceives it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword.
"Give me an Army of West Point graduates and I'll win a battle... Give me a handful of Texas Aggies and I'll win a war." - General Patton

I dont know if your dreams are telling you something or not, but the fact that you reevaluating things in your life says more to me.....
Nothing wrong with some self evaluation. Good luck, its never to late to make peace.

I know the dreams you're talking about. I get them occasionally also. I often have strange dreams.
The creepiest thing is when the wife and I have the same nightmare - down to the exact details - same night - same time. Freaks her out bad.
We usually have those shared dreams after certain circumstances around our house/land- which I won't go into for fear of sounding crazy.

I try to keep things right in my life as best as I can at least. I wake myself, and the wife up laughing a lot! I just have funny dreams all the time. On the other hand she has some weird twisted dreams.......
