I have a mouflon ram who keeps ramming into the protein feeder to shake more feed past the timer. The timer puts out enough food, plus they get hay and some grass/weeds. I'm thinking he's bored because he does the same thing to the high fence posts. Is this common for the breed? What can I do to get him to quit? I've thought of hanging a feeder high enough from a tree that he couldn't reach it to hit it, but I don't like the idea of feeding pellets slung on the ground due to parasite concerns.
