The last time I had In N Out was at the Grapevine location. Burger was ok, fries tasted like styrofoam.

I like Whataburger better.

If I’m eating low carb I like their Protein Style burgers. Lettuce wrap vs being on a bun. Their fries are the worst

The wife and I were not impressed with In-and-out. I’d climb over their building in Waco to get to Twisted Root Burgers.

Have to order animal style burger and fries.....or it isn't comparable.
Not a bad gimmick burger.

I thought it was meh when I had years ago, I will give it another try. However, I am under the impression if you have to add something from the "secret" menu to make it good, then it's not good.

The one thing I do like about their business model is they but their products from as many local producers as they can.

Average at best the last time I had it I’d eat it again though.

Try it that way...

It’s good.

Double double and fries both animal style, otherwise I’d rather just miss a meal.

If you haven’t tried In and Out this way, your missing out.

First time we went to In-and-Out, while I was eating my burger (this was in Waco), there were about 4 cops at a nearby table - one in his 40’s or so and 3 young ones. Since my burger was not exactly partying in my mouth, I was wondering where the good burgers were. Seemed reasonable to ask the senior cop, since he’d probably had a burger at every place in town. He agreed that these burgers were nothing special, but it was where the young guys wanted to eat, and he gave me a couple of places where he thought the burgers were great. One of them, where I still haven’t eaten, was on 18th street, I think. A little place, and crowded.

Anyway, I don’t see any reason to go back to In-and-Out.

I'll travel a good bit and don't mind an in n out burger. Always hot and fresh. I will agree with some posts on here if you just walk up and order off the menu then it will be less than satisfactory. The secret menu and ordering your way steps it up to a solid fast food burger. Best in n out won't beat best whataburger but worst whataburger doesn't hold a candle to worst in n out. In n out much more consistent.

I prefer a 3x2 protein style with chilis as the buns seem to drown the flavor. Fries light.

We went there for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. It was OK. Just OK, nothing to write home about. I don’t get all the hype. But I don’t get the hype for Whataburger either..... confused2

P. Terry’s makes the best true fast food burger IMO. Places that are a little more pricey than straight fast food (like 5 Guys) will get you a good burger too.

Never had one but think I will stick to Juicys. Great burgers and fries and onion rings and the beans are pretty darned good.

I stick to the mom and pop burger places. there are too many around to mess with subpar fast food. My only exception is Braums. they have a really good burger.

I think it’s the best fast food burger and fries. Had it twice this week while in lake worth for class. No complaints from me. Hot and fresh. Much better than greasy whataburger. Most of them I see anymore are trashy.
