Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Had a crow as a pet. One of the most intelligent birds/animals on the planet and live everywhere but antartica. If you read about them you will probably never kill one. Each one has its place in the murder.

Murder is the name for a family/group of crows......Other examples of “group” names include: an ostentation of peacocks, a parliament of owls, a knot frogs, and a skulk of foxes.

Crows have over 250 different words or calls and about half of the crow population has been decimated by west nile virus.

Not on public land in Texas.

Oklahoma has a season for them and allows hunting for them on a lot of public land.

Don't think you can hunt them anywhere, anytime in Texas. That goes for private & public land. Same goes for robins. The only non-protected bird species are Starlings, Sparrows, pigeons Egyptian geese, Muscovy ducks and Eurasian doves.

I believe crow hunting in Europe is quite popular. Seems like this has been covered on here before. Several cultural traditions that it's bad "juju" to kill one. There's always a few loafing around and talking on my place.

It should be legal to kill the things just due to the noise they make...I hate crow...most noisy bird God created...nothing disturbs a peaceful morning in the deer blind, sun just coming up - steam rising from the mist, like a pair of them damn things cawing to one another...grrrrr...

You know, I wish cats could be trained as easily as dogs...I'd have one just to kill/terrorize crows. Maybe I can't shoot them but hey, I can't help it if the cat killed one, two, twenty or thirty.

Crows are one of my favorite things to hunt. I hunt crows BECAUSE they are so smart, not in spite of it. They can recognize faces, and they can tell if you have a rifle in your hand. That makes them tough to hunt, especially with a pellet gun.
