I can't find any info online but I wonder if there were changes other than the nose from the OG 175 MK's. Maybe like the new 169 updated the 168. 175's are good bullets but were due for an update. I will load a few to feed the new Bergara BMP that arrived today.

Watching with interest.

Do you have experience with 175 smk? I'm just curious how it would compare.

Yes, i have shot loads of 175s. Hoping these are even better, and still easy to tune.

The 175 Matchking Tipped are very accurate bullets. I shot 600 of them thru 308’s & 30-06.
I went to Nosler RDF’s as they were cheaper recently but I think the Sierra is more consistent.
I’ll probably give these a try unless they cost more than Berger’s.

Historically, Sierras are inexpensive, and easy to make shoot, due to their ogive shape.

They probably made a slight redesign of the SMK to increase BC. In other words, these are probably a bit more pointy.

I think thats the only difference, they shoot the same as the 175s under the same powder. I didn't shoot them past 200 yards, but a modest BC bump is probably in order. The BMP has a super long throat so its quite a jump to the lands. I have had better luck jumping the old Sierras over the newer hybrid or VLD designs.
