How long is typical to leave forms on a house foundation after it is poured?

Our foundation was poured starting at 5 this morning and by 9:30 some of the forms were being taken down already. Its a reputable company been in business for a long time with a builder and warranty so im not concerned, it did surprise me as being kind of quick though.

What say ye concrete fellas?

If they pulled the forms and it didn't blow out, then they waited long enough. Too many factors involved to give you a set time on your question.

They piece they started pulling was in the area of the first spot they poured so had been sitting the longest. Looked completely normal to me, no movement/blowout at all that i could tell from a few feet away. Letting them do what they do, but i was surprised it went that fast. When we had our shop built they left the forms on considerably longer.

Sometimes my concrete crews pull them a few hours after pour. Sometimes they pull them the next day. Slump, additives etc play a role in how fast it'll set up but sounds like you have nothing to worry about. There are some really cool power curber machines that pour curb and gutter with no forms at all.

That's insane...we usually pay $4-6 per foot for curb and gutter.
