Dukes Of Hazzard. LOL

Im sure Mom and Dad didnt enjoy it as much as me and my brother did, but it was the only thing me and my brother watched on TV so they let us have our fun with it. We were not rich by any means so one TV was all we had.

My dad and I rarely missed Lone Star Sportsman on Saturday afternoons. It came on at 5:30 I think. Right before or after Sportatorium Wrestling. Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Red Skelton were big in our household also. I was a Have Gun Will Travel fan. Paladin was bad azz.

There was a show called “The Wild, Wild West” starring Robert Conrad. Also in the era of “All in the Family” was “The Jefferson’s” with Jimmy Walker.

The Carol Burnett Show

My dad always went to bed early, but Mom and I would often watch The Tonight Show when Jay Leno hosted it. Mom liked to call Jay her "boyfriend" and especially liked the Fruitcake Lady.

Thursday nights were rough on me. Grandpa (king of the house) watched Hee Haw. I wanted so bad to watch Kung Fu. David Caradine seemed so cool to a teenager.

Oh no, the worst Saturday night punishment was having to tolerate the TV being tuned to the Lawrence Welk Show.
