Thanks for the update. One of the antelope units I'd been eyeing had a large quota drop. Guess I'll scratch that from the list.

Appreciate the info. Looks like they cut the # of tags for pronghorn in most units.

Don't know if it's in response to the weather. A couple of weeks ago SE WY got hit by a big snow storm. A friend that lives between Douglas and Casper said he had 32 inches of snow. That kind of snow kills antelope. Cheyenne was reported to have 24 inches. So this is a good year to ask the locals in your preferred hunting area if they had any winter kill.....

Thanks Wytex!

This is my 17th year for putting in for a moose tag in WY as a non-resident. Maybe I'll draw a tag before I'm dead (damn point creep).
I hate that WY (WGFD) always makes you pick a unit before they decide how many tags will be allocated for each hunt area. mad
Can you get that fixed before next year? lol444

I hear ya'. Spouse should draw a resident moose tag this year but he may modify his app since the quotas came out.

We've had drought and then the big snow that really did a number on pronghorn in some areas.

Elk licenses are up though.

I saw that. I also heard there's a proposal to change the non resident allocation to 10%. This has come up before but stack the two together and I wonder if a lot of points get burned this year. I'm looking at other units with a little better odds.. maybe two point buffet rather than half a point.

No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

90/10 will probably come up again this coming year and might well get passed for next year.
What is being pushed is a 10% cap or quota on NR LQ, limited quota, licenses in initial draw. If passed LQ elk tags would decrease but General elk tags would increase. Wyoming has a state statute that guarantees NR a certain number of licenses, if LQ tags are taken away then General tags will be increased to reach the quota.
It will affect NR pronghorn and deer tags but I bet still have licenses available in leftover draw for NR.
The outfitters association is also pushing a huge price increase for NR elk licenses.

Pronghorn numbers can bounce back pretty quick with good conditions, hoping we have a nice summer and fall to help with those numbers.

I have 10 deer points and now there moving it to 13 for the unit I want. I'm 65 and times not on my side,
Also won't be using my antelope points this year since no doe/fawn tags in the unit we hunt.
