Just went out on the back porch to turn off the TV after my 2 year olds birthday party that started at 2 pm. The last guest left about an hour ago. I bet the back door was walked through 200 times this afternoon including 8 kids under 5. I get the TV off and the cabinet closed and he lit up buzzing. Right below the door I just walked out of. I had to of passed within 6". [censored] these snakes. I was proud of my little pellet gun with a crappy scope. One to the body had about a 1/2" exit that sprayed blood all over the wall, the next one to the base of his neck did him in.

Might need you a feral cat. The do pretty good job by eliminating the food sources. They will kill snakes because they’re predators.
Just keep fresh water and a very small amount of food to keep it around.
If a coyote kills it, trap another feral cat.

You know, I wear flip flops all the time here, and never worry about them. Of course, it was 37 degrees this morning, and my toes were blue!!

I've had two dogs that would not let me get near a snake, rat terrier- fiest mix and lab. Picking black berries only had to spray for ticks and chiggers.

I saw a Lone Star law where somebody killed a timber rattler beside their house and posted it on Facebook or some social media site, and of course the game warden caught wind of it and swooped in on the scene, doling out a pricy citation...he wasn't buying any excuses...for the record, I think that's one seriously dubious law when it comes to any rattler...
