Don’t own a 22, they just don’t do much for me. Fwiw - I don’t own a .223 either.
If I was to buy one it would be a Volquartsen Summit.

I love my 10/22 that I got for my birthday when I was 16, 39 years ago. It has ended more pigs than some have seen.

If I was to buy one it would be a Volquartsen Summit. I think you’d have a blast at some of our 22 matches. Especially the side pots cold bore at 300 yards and Black Death at 25 yards. Both from bench or prone whichever you prefer.

I LOVE my 10/22. Of course only thing that is factory anymore is the receiver and bolt body. All internals, trigger, and barrel have been switched to KIDD parts and a KRG Bravo. With the 50MOA rail I shoot out to 400 yards with it. That’s really nice man Thanks I can let 5 rounds go at 300 yards before the first round hits steel. It’s really fun. All you hear is ting ting ting ting ting lol.

Not sure why someone would panic and a .22 was the weapon of choice though... lol, you don't want me after you with a .22 I can promise you that. people under estimate a .22.....I know i did for years. I've killed enough critters ( Including a full grown Angus Cow and now a Nilgai Cow ) that given a situation where the SHTF....i can carry a couple thousand .22 rounds with the same weight and mass as a few hundred centerfire rounds. plus, if we are shooting zombies, they require head shots so knockdown power is sort of irrelevant.... Which begs the question.....why didn't anyone carry a .22 on The Walking Dead? The same reason none of them were smart enough to wear riding leathers (bite this) or a catcher's mask... most of those characters were too dumb to actually survive, except "on location".

Leupold also makes a 3-9X33 adjustable objective. It’s not under the rimfire line so you have to hunt for it on their site.

Lol exactly, I’ve been saying it for years zombie apocalypse top gun is a 10/22 22LR can carry massive amounts of ammo and with a suppressor it’s literally movie quiet, which wouldn’t attract more zombies to your location. One in the brain pan and they’re down. No need for knock down power. On the flip side pretty much every zombie movie/series I’ve ever seen the zombies aren’t the real threat, it’s the other survivors. So then your need that extra knock down power. Just carry both and stuff we the AR for the living and the 22 for the dead. Seems logical to me lol.

For some reason, I've always wanted a Ruger Charger. With the ATI folding stock, I have the options of a long gun or pistol style (Charger-like). ATI stock, Bushnell red dot, Aim Sports tactical flashlight, UTG bipod, Ruger 25 round mag & NcSTAR muzzle brake. I've converted my original 10/22 into a Chris Kyle commemorative rat shooter.

I appreciate the offer for real but I'm the kind of guy who would never get around to buying a receiver and putting it all together. I'd be much better off just buying new.

Gander has them for under $300. Here's mine. Although it has no OEM parts aside from the barrel and receiver, it didn't cost as much as some others because I repurposed a lot of vintage parts. This 10/22 has NO PLASTIC parts other than the magazine.
Pass the gravy.

I have 1 or two plain Jane 10/22’s that’s never been fired if anyone needs one and has anything to trade Some RL26, H1000 or Retumbo would surely put you in good position to own one lol Seems like they may have a wood grained type stock but I’d have to look to be sure, I think their still in the box’s to Haven't thought about them until this thread since last year.

I put these together a bunch of years ago. My wife shot one of them in a woman’s league. I converted the carbon barreled one to my rimfire steel match gun. It shoot great. I love the little 10/22s.

Love all mine, they fill a niche that is just perfect. My local gun shop is a big supporter of both DU and RMEF; I used to buy about 4 a year, just to donate to the kids raffles. They would give them to me at cost, for the deal. Out here we are blessed (?) to have a lot of ground squirrels around the alfalfa fields, and ranchers want you to shoot all you can. We rotate fields all Spring and go thru about 5-8K rounds per person, in 4 weeks each year. The 10/22's are the workhorses of the bunch. When they stop functioning, squirt them full of carburetor cleaner, and right back in operation!! My favorite truck gun!!!

That stock! Love that rifle Thanks. Guess what stock that is... That's right, it's the crappy plain birch they come with from the factory. I saved all the original parts from mine including the stock and all the plastic parts for later. Got this stock as a take off on eBay and refinished it myself. The butt plate, complete trigger (with KIDD and Volquartsen guts), and barrel band are all vintage Ruger alloy pieces I stripped, sanded and polished. This pics don't do the polished parts justice. Maybe I should get her out and take a few close-ups.
Pass the gravy.
