Okay, I would rather forget this one...Drove 10 hours to the ranch on Sunday, got blown out on Monday and Tuesday until late afternoon and then blizzard conditions on Wednesday. I don't mind hunting in the snow but when the sun popped out, we had to get back on the main roads as much of this country is clay that gets slicker than "owl lightning". As long as the roads are frozen, we were good to go.
The male rolled in from behind us to the left, got our wind and blew out before Deb could get a shot. As soon as he left, this female rolled in from behind to our right, shied off when she caught me trying to get my gun around. She didn't get our wind so was able to get her stopped at about 100 yards. The camera was so wet from the snow that it shut down when Steve attempted to power it up so didn't get it on video.
It was a special hunt as I was able to take Miss Deb along with my son Steve. Beautiful ranch was made even prettier when God dressed her in white linen...

Ruger American .22-250 with a 3-9x40 Trijicon Accupoint on it. Great little gun for this game and one that you don't have to baby for fear of scaring it.
